What's it like?

Naxos City is noticeably bigger than most of the other towns that a Greek island hopper would encounter, but once you settle into its slightly heavier rhythm, you’ll find that Naxos holidays offer everything that you could ask for. The old port is the centre of most of the bars and cafes, and beware of the drinks deals at the former, what starts out as a cheeky afternoon drink easily turns into something a lot more, especially with the town’s thriving nightlife. There are a bunch of sights in this area too, including the old temple of Appolo at the end of the causeway, and of course the obligatory but scenic venetian castle. Hotels in Naxos are pleasant, and not as expensive as other islands, although that isn’t saying much.
